Coos River 6-22-10

We met up again with the folks from Redding for a run up the Coos River and were delighted that Karen's daughter Dana came along as well. Sunny, warm and relaxing. Good friends and family. Life is good.

Lakeside 6-20-10

Karen and I met up with some paddlers from Redding that we had never met but had heard through facebook were coming up to Coos Bay. We spent about 3 hours paddling around Lakeside. This was the first evening paddle Karen and I had been on in a long time and both of us had forgotten how enchanting evening paddles can be. I didn't take my camera on this one but I wish I had. The folks from Redding were more than willing to let some locals tag along and were very friendly folks but hey they're paddlers. I suspect we'll be meeting up with this group again.

This is a really big lake but very peaceful. Very few motor boats and none of those damned loud ass jet skis. Very quiet, very nice.
